ABOUT

Hi! My name is Patty Sins and I'm excited to announce that in January 2023, I will begin managing the Wonderbikes charity that my son Cam launched in 2018. I truly believe that providing refurbished bikes and gear to kids can make them happier, healthier and more independent young adults. My marketing experience, gained from running my business for over 20 years, will promote Wonderbikes’ growth and ability to reach more needy communities.

We are excited for what’s to come! Be sure to follow us on Instagram. For anyone living in the Boston area, please contact us when you have an old fixable bike that you want to give away.

Here’s to years of happy riding!

Hi, my name is Cam Sins and I love biking! I started road biking when I was 5 years old and mountain biking when I was 8. What excites me most about the sport is the fact that I am able to get outside and explore, and also spend time with my friends. It is a great way to get exercise too.

One of my favorite places to bike is Martha's Vineyard. My family spends a lot of time there in the summer. I like biking to the beach and into town with my cousins. I feel so lucky to be able to do this.

Because I love the sport so much, I started volunteering at a local bike shop to learn more about bikes and how to repair them. Every Saturday I spend 2-3 hours working in the service department, watching and learning how bikes are fixed. I am now familiar with most bike parts and can make repairs on my own.

One day, I was with my Mom at the Weston Transfer Station and saw a few old bikes that were left in the swap shack. We came up with the idea to collect these old bikes, fix them, and give them to kids in need. I am so thankful to have my own bike and think that all kids should have their own.

We approached the Waltham Boys and Girls Club about being the recipient of our bikes and they were very excited to work with us. So far we have donated 30 bikes to the club.

Thanks for reading my story.
